Prof Mills advises NDC youth to do away with violence

Tuobodom (B/A), Aug. 26, GNA- Professor John Evans Atta Mills, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Flag Bearer, has advised the Party's supporters not to use of provocative language against New Patriotic Party (NPP) members.

"God will fight on our behalf in the forthcoming December election", he said.

Addressing separate rallies at Tuobodom, Krobo and Aworowa in Techiman North Constituency as part of his weeklong tour of Brong Ahafo, Professor Mills stated that the Party would put measures in place to help the less privileged in society if it regained power.

Prof. Atta-Mills said the Government had failed to live up to its promises.

Mrs Cecilia Johnson, Former Deputy Minister of Local Government, called on the electorate to accept any enticements from the Government and vote it out.

During a courtesy call on Nana Asa Ackompanin, Krobohene and Kyidomhene of Techiman Traditional Area, the chief advised the NDC Flag Bearer to be mindful of his utterances "because the peace in the country is in the interests of every political party.

"The most important thing is that the President of the country should be someone, who would unify the country", the Chief said. Those who accompanied Professor Mills included, Mr J. H. Owusu Acheampong, Former Minister of Parliamentary Affairs; Mr Daniel Ohene Agyekum, Former Ashanti Regional Minister; Mr Isaac Adjei-Mensah, MP for Techiman North and Deputy Minority Leader in Parliament and Alhaji Collins Dauda, Brong Ahafo Regional Chairman of NDC.
