Agbedo wins Cowbell Marathon

Accra, Mar. 13, GNA - Kofi Agbedo clocked one hour 25 minutes to win the second annual Future Professionals Sporting Club's Cowbell Sweet Milk Under -15 Marathon held in Accra on Saturday.

Desmond Senanu took the second position with a time of one hour 30 minutes, four seconds while Emmanuel Antwi placed third with a time of one hour 33 minutes 10 seconds.

Mary Cofie won the Ladies category in a time of two hours with Janet Nkrumah placing second with a time of two hours nine minutes while Azaratu Salifu took the third position in a time of two hours 15 minutes.

About 350 runners took part in the 12-kilometre race which was sponsored by Promasidor Ghana Limited.

Mr G.B. Awuakye, Greater Accra Regional Sports Development Officer commended Future Professionals Sporting Club for organising the event. He called on the youth to take active interest in sports so as to remain healthy at all times.

Nii Allotey Mingle, Marketing and Communications Manager of Promasidor Ghana Limited said his company, as a corporate responsibility would continue to support the community in which it operates. He gave the assurance that his company would sponsor the event next year.
