Andre Ayew believes the Black Stars should seize the moment and extend their impressive form in the World Cup qualifying when they play Zambia on Friday.

Ghana have won their last three matches on the trot in the Group D qualifiers which has taken them top ahead of their final match at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The Black Stars renew their rivalry with Zambia and, having lost their last two meetings, they are seeking to change their fortunes when the Chipolopolo arrive for the final meeting which kicks off 16:00GMT.

Though the Black Stars need to avoid defeat to go through to the next round, Ayew is confident that they can continue their winning run in the campaign.

"I lost to Zambia once during then African Cup of Nations and missed the other [World Cup qualifier] through a shoulder injury.

"I think we should forget about what happened in the past. Tomorrow [Friday] is the game and the pitch will do the talking," Ayew said at a pre-match conference on Thursday in Kumasi.

Ayew insists that Ghana, who need just a point from the game to reach the last round of qualifiers can deliver all three points.

"We will need to prove on the pitch and not the talk," he said.
