New Inter Milan coach Gian Piero Gasperini will be unveiled to the media next Tuesday, the club confirmed.
Gasperini has penned a two-year deal with the Nerazzurri and will succeed Leonardo, who is expected to take over the role of sporting director at Paris St Germain later this week.
Gasperini will become Inter's fourth coach in a year following the departure of Jose Mourinho to Real Madrid, the sacking of Rafael Benitez and the imminent departure of Leonardo.
The 53-year-old, who guided Genoa for four seasons before being dismissed by the club back in November, said earlier this week he was ready for his biggest challenge in his coaching career.
"It is an honour to arrive at Inter,'' said Gasperini. "I have the ambition and the will to do well.
"My intention is to have a great season, to create a very strong and solid group. I believe the foundations are already in place.''
