Abrankese, Feb. 14, GNA - Kessben FC fought gallantly to thrash visiting Wa All Stars 4-1 in their 18 Week Glo Premier League match at the Anane Boateng stadium at Abrankese near Kumasi.

It was the home team who took the lead in the eighth minute when Edmund Owusu Peprah scored from a Samson Cudjoe's cross in a counter- attack.

After the goal All Stars re-organised themselves in midfield as they attacked in droves and managed to snatch the equaliser in the 39th minute through Fatau Mohammed.

On resumption of the second half Kessben brought on Baba Ibrahim for Kwaku Sarpong and this tactical change brought some energy into their attack as they seized the midfield and played an all attacking game to take the lead in the 59th minute through Bismark Idan.

Samson Cudjoe made it three for Kessben in the 67th minute before Idan sealed the doom of All Stars with the fourth goal on the stroke of time when he connected home a Yufa Zuga cross to send the fans into wild jubilation.

At the Obuasi Len Clay sports stadium Ashgold ensured that they collected the three maximum points when they beat visiting Sekondi Hasaacas by a lone goal.

Skipper Daniel Asamoah scored the match winner when he converted a penalty kick awarded his side in the 65th minute.
