Seven local players plus three professionals failed to leave for London on a Monday night flight from Lusaka as earlier announced by the Football Association of Zambia after being granted UK VISAs late.

The 10 Players and the technical bench departed from Lusaka International Airport in the early hours of Tuesday.

The players expected to leave tomorrow are Zesco United trio of Hichani Himonde, Jonas Sakuwaha and Nyambe Mulenga. Francis Kasonde, Stoppila Sunzu, Fwayo Tembo and Dennis Banda of Green Buffaloes are the other locally based players.

T.P Mazembe striker Given Singuluma and Israeli based duo of Emmanuel Mayuka and William Njobvu are also part of the contingent from Lusaka which also include head coach Herve Renard and his compatriot Patrice Beamulle.

The flight from Lusaka to London should take a minimum of 8 to 9 hours which means that the Chipolopolo Boys will have one training session in the night at London's Brisbane Road before the Wednesday night clash against Ghana with kickoff at 19:45 UK time.

In related news, five South African based players will only secure UK Visas tomorrow after they failed earlier on Monday because the British High Commission in Pretoria was closed as it was public holiday in SA.

Goalkeepers Kalililo Kakonje and Kennedy Mweene, Midfielders Noah Chivuta and Felix Katongo plus defender Joseph Musonda are expected to arrive in East London a few hours before kickoff on Wednesday night.
