Mr Jerome Stromberg, a citizen of the United States of America has donated GH¢ 1,500 to the people of Dotobaa in the Nkoranza South district of Brong-Ahafo, towards the renovation of the local Roman Catholic Primary School.

Mr Stromberg visited the community some time ago and the chiefs and people honoured him as “Nkosoohene” (chief of development), under the stool name, Nana Kwabena Gyabaa.

Mr Victor Ameyaw, Assemblyman, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Dotobaa that the renovation work would give the community a face lift and also create a conducive atmosphere for effective teaching and learning.

He said Mr Stromberg advised the community to mobilise funds to construct a library, after which he would provide computers and reading books.

The Assemblyman added that, the Chicago-based American philanthropist intends setting up a scholarship scheme for promising students to enter tertiary institutions.

Mr Ameyaw commended the donor for the gesture and advised the youth to take their education seriously so that they would benefit from the incentive packages.
