Brands and Communications Manager of Asante Kotoko, David Obeng Nyarko has assured that they will defend their Ghana Premier League despite their inconsistent form.
The Porcupine Warriors currently occupy the 7th position on the league log with 34 points after 23 games played.
Kotoko won the topflight under Prosper Narteh Ogum in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.
Despite their inconsistent outing, Obeng Nyarko is sure they will defend their Premier League title.
"All is not lost for Asante Kotoko," he told Asempa FM.
"Last season, we lost the first four games but we were able to cruise to win the Premier League."
He also partially blamed referees' decisions for their inconsistent performance.
"If you look at some decisions, the referees have been sanctioned due to how they officiated our games but I must say we are not giving up on defending our league title," he added.
Asante Kotoko meanwhile will be hosted by Legon Cities in the matchday 24 games this afternoon at the El-Wak Stadium.
