Prophet Ajagurajah of the Ajagurajah Movement believes Ghana will never win any World Cup trophy if it continue to use the name 'Black Stars.'

He said the name "black" used for a star makes it a failure.

Speaking with Bright Kankam Boadu of the Kumasi-based Pure FM in an interview monitored by Modernghana News via Youtube, the prophet proposes the name be called to "Golden Stars" or even just "Stars of Ghana" if they want to win the World Cup trophy this year.

He explained that black and stars have nothing in common. He stressed that stars is supposed to shine in the universe.

"We can not win a World Cup with that name (Black Stars)". No star is black, so you can't call yourself a Black Star and still expect to be victorious...even Lucifer (Satan) was described as a "Shining Star", so you can not use that name to win a World Cup," he said in response to whether Black Stars can win the upcoming Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The Black stars’ three appearances at the FIFA World Cup:

In 2006, Ghana, after being eliminated from the then Cup of African Nations (CAN), managed to qualify for the World Cup. Ghana was in group (E) with the Czech Republic, Italy, and the USA, making it one of the toughest groups of the tournament.

Ghana, the only African country to manage to reach the round of 16 that year, was eliminated by Brazil after a 3-0 defeat.

History was again made at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa where Ghana, once again, the only African nation to have qualified for the quarter-finals was kicked out by Uruguay after penalty shootouts.

Ghana's last appearance was in 2014, where the team was unfortunately kicked out in the group stage.

In the upcoming tournament in Qatar, Ghana will make history as it prepare to meet Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay in Group H.
