Kwesi Nyantakyi planned to hire Anas to expose administrators who were into betting – Oluboi Commodore

General Manager of Accra Great Olympics, Oluboi Commodore, has revealed that former Ghana Football Association [GFA] President Kwesi Nyantakyi wanted to employ the services of investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas to look into how games are purportedly fixed in the Ghana Premier League.

Betting has taken centre stage of the ongoing 2021/22 Ghana Premier League campaign.

Speaking in an interview, the veteran football administrator revealed that Nyantakyi was bothered about how results of league matches were known before games.

“During Kwesi Nyantakyi’s time, on this same betting issue, he decided to contact Anas to do an investigation into that in our football and that certain results are known before the matches are played but unfortunately it was rather investigated by Anas," he told Accra based Starr FM.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association are yet to release the findings of the Ashgold v Inter Allies match fixing scandal that emerged last season.
