Hearts of Oak have moved to third on the Ghana Premier League table after posting a delightful 2-0 win over Aduana Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday evening.

The Phobians returned to action today at home for the start of the second round of the 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.

In a game serving as a matchday 18 fixture of the season, both Hearts of Oak and Aduana Stars went into the game geared up to give their all to fight for the three points.

Following an impressive start to the match, striker Victor Aidoo scored from 12 yards to give the hosts the lead after the referee had awarded the side a penalty kick.

In the pulsating encounter that ensued from there on, Aduana Stars made strides with their play but could not find the back of the net.

Late in the second half, a Patrick Razak effort deflected off Aduana Stars defender Hafiz Adams to double the lead for Hearts of Oak.

Cruising to a massive 2-0 win today, Hearts of Oak have now climbed to third on the Ghana Premier League table and just three points behind leaders, Great Olympics.
