Algerian giants, USM Alger have announced that they have reached a deal to sign Ghanaian striker Kwame Opoku from Asante Kotoko.

In the last few weeks, the Algerian top-flight club has been in contact with the Ghana Premier League record champions looking to secure the services of the highly-rated attacker.

After agreeing to a deal, USM Alger have today confirmed that striker Kwame Opoku will join them on a four-and-a-half-year deal.

“The management of the USMA informs his dear supporters that an agreement has been reached with his Ghanaian counterpart of Asante Kotoko SC for the final transfer of striker Kwame Opoku who will sign up for four and a half years,” the Algerian said in a post on Twitter on Monday evening.

Kwame Opoku, 24, is currently in the camp of the Black Stars in Accra and will fly to Algeria after the next international break to make his move to USM Alger official.

He leaves Asante Kotoko after netting six goals in the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.
