GFA To Use Funds From FIFA Forward 2.0 To Complete Projects At Prampram – Kurt Okraku

President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt E.S Okraku has revealed that his outlet will use funds from the FIFA Forward 2.0 program to complete projects at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence at Prampram.

From 20202 to 2024, the Ghana FA could earn as much as $6 million from the FIFA Forward 2.0 program plus money expected to be received from the Forward 1.0 program.

At the 26th Ordinary Congress of the GFA, President Kurt Okraku has disclosed where his administration is planning to invest the money.

“The FIFA Forward 1.0 program will also see an investment of $280,000 into boreholes at League Centres & Game Centres across the nation as well as upgrade in I.T to improve competitions. It involves supply of PCs, Scanners, printers as well as internet to clubs”, the leader of the GFA told delegates.

Kurt Okraku continued, “We will also use some of the money from the FIFA Forward 2.0 to complete projects like a multipurpose court, a swimming pool, a gym, and others here at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence”.

It can be recalled that last month, the GFA secured a 6.5-acre land in Wintogo, Bolgatanga for the construction of an astroturf. That project will be funded by the FIFA Forward 1.0 Program.

The body has set sight on doing more with money from the Forward 1.0 and Forward 2.0 programs respectively.
