Kwame Opare Addo, the Communications Director of Hearts of Oak has rubbished reports in the media suggesting that there are plans to put works on the Pobiman Academy Project on hold.

The Project which is expected to be completed in less than a year started a few weeks ago by local construction company K.A Estates Company Limited.

With the project making steady progress on a daily basis, there have been speculations of plans by the Ghana Premier League club to halt the ongoing works very soon.

Reacting to that news, Opare Addo who speaks for Hearts of Oak has assured supports that they are just fabricated stories and should be ignored.

“We've started the Pobiman project and today is exactly two weeks we started the whole project. Despite the continuous heavy rainfall in Accra, they are still working hard day-in-day-out. They even work on Saturdays and Sundays.

They have started the concrete works and everyone's happy about the work. Looking at it, he will be able to finish within the three months he promised”, he said in an interview with Hello FM.

Opare Addo continued, “With all apologies, it only shows that they are exposing their ignorance about the whole thing. The contractor has been there every single day since he started the work and I have been visiting the site every single day. Last Saturday, it rained heavily but he worked.

“All Hearts of Oak supporters should note that it is not true. The contractor has been working every day, even when it's raining”.

After completion, the Pobiman Academy will have a staff residence, senior housing unit, gym, training centers, laundry, swimming pool, lockers, toilet facilities, kitchen, as well as a dining hall.
