Veteran coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin says football in the country must be intervened by God following the outbreak of Covid-19.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) have suspended all football activities indefinitely as part of the measures to help curb the situation.

Many have called for the return of football. However, the FA is expected to make a pronouncement on June 30 on the future of football.

According to the Aduana Stars gaffer, the Ghana situation currently looks very uncertain and would need Divine intervention since the coronavirus pandemic does not appear as one to be brought under control anytime soon.

“The only thing that can help the clubs is the intervention of God so the COVID-19 will go so that football will come back to enable clubs get money from gate proceeds to ease their financial crises.”

Despite the gloomy picture, the former Asante Kotoko coach said he is waiting for the FA to provide clear direction on the future of the Ghana Premier League season which was suspended after the 15th week.

“Even some countries have truncated their league and declared some winners.

"The GFA has given themselves until June 30 to take a firm decision as to whether to continue or not.

"I believe we should wait for that declaration so we will take it from there,” added the former Inter Allies and Ashgold coach.
