Seven students of Mpraeso Secondary School in the Eastern region have been dismissed for leaving the school without an exeat.

The Kwaku South District Director of Education, James Nii Okai Dinsey, gave the order for the dismissal of the seven students.

Those in their final year would be expected to commute from their homes to write the rest of their final examination papers.

Mr. Dinsey appealed to parents to assist teachers and school authorities to educate and mould the character of the young students in second cycle institutions to acquire requisite knowledge to become responsible future leaders of the nation.

Twelve final year students who were previously dismissed in February, this year, for involvement in the sex scandal at a hotel have been allowed to come and write their final examination at the school as day students.

There have been increasing calls from sections of the public for school authorities to punish students who exhibit indisciplined behaviour.
