2018/19 Students Representative Council President of Takoradi Technical University, Forster Semabia, has been adjudged Best SRC President at the 27th Annual Delegates Congress of Ghana National Union of Technical Students (GNUTS) held in Kumasi.
The GNUTS Excellence Award is in recognition of Mr. Semabia's achievements during his tenure as SRC President for the 2018/2019 academic year which saw the completion of a multipurpose block complex for student residential accommodation.
The project, unprecedented in the history of the institution, was commenced in 2017 and completed in 2018 with a hundred-bed hostel accommodation, offices for SRC executive members as well as a conference room, recreational centre and a radio station.
Speaking to ModernGhana, Mr. Semabia dedicated the award to his alma mater, Takoradi Technical University, and urged young people to strive for excellence in leadership.
Forster Semabia is now the Public Relations Officer for GNUTS.
