The Council of State has demanded of the media to be more professional in a reaction to a pro-NDC newspaper's publication which stated that the Council “is angry over the collapse of state-owned banks.”
The said publication posted the picture of the Chairman of the Council and two other members to illustrate the story which has turned out not to be true.
'The Council wishes to state that as a body it takes collective decisions. Since the Council's public positions are held to be credible and respected, it is important that publications attributed to it are verified to ensure that they are accurate' the statement pointed out.
The statement which was signed by Peace A.P. Okantey (Mrs), Ag Secretary to the Council, entreated to the said NDC paper to confer with the Public Affairs Unit of the Council on publications attributed to it.
