General News Pray Against Disorder And Unscrupulous People—Rawlings To Chief Imam
MAY 10, 2019 LISTEN

Former President Rawlings has called on National Chief Imam, Sheikh Nuhu Sharabutu to pray fervently for the citizens of Ghana against disorder and unscrupulous deeds for its gradually engulfing the country.

Receiving the Chief Imam at his office on Thursday he noted that lawlessness has gradually crept it’s way into every fibre of the country, sighting the brutal attack on the Amasaman police officer, Sgt. Mahanadi of the police SWAT unit.

The Ex-President condemned the attack saying, under no circumstance should residents of Amasaman inflict such pains on the law enforcer because it is an indictment on our image on the international scene.

He noted that humans are full of imperfection therefore we shouldn’t condemn people especially security officers to instant justice even though he is much aware of the problem they sometimes pose yet such attacks are unjustifiable and unwarranted.

He urged Ghanaians to develop the attitude of controlling their temper and also learn how to appreciate the efforts of the police officers because without them the country will be full of chaos.

Background
