The Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister Hon. Elizabeth Agyemang has pledged her support to facilitate the relocation of the Artisans at Suame magazine to it new land at Abankro in the Efigya Kwabre East District of the Ashanti region.

Over 9,000 traders, artisans and businessmen are expected to be relocated to the new modern complex after completion.

She reiterated her support through the Ashanti Regional Minister Hon Simon Osei Mensah to seek investors and government support to accelerate the process.

She made these remarks when she visited the new sites of the Zion Artisans which the Spare parts and Food sellers Association has acquired for its members.

The association has acquired 300 acres of land to build a modern complex to host all its members within the region.

The land aimed at aiding able artisans and mechanics at the congested Suame magazine to the new prepared place to ease ways of doing business.

The land when developed will feature facilities such as fire station, technical Schools, hospitals, a police post and other social amenities.

According to her, she will use her outfit to secure investors both locally and abroad to gear the development of the new site.

She however urged members who have acquired their lands to starts erecting their shops to speed the process.

Mr Osei Asibey Chairman of the Association noted that the association is financially handicapped after investing hugely into the purchase and the clearing of the land.

This he said will ease the current congestion at Suame magazine and provide better avenues to accommodates more youth into the new place.

He said electricity, water and portable roads need to be provided to their new business centre.
