New Edubiase(Ash), Dec.15, GNA - Staff of the Adansi South District Mutual Health Insurance Scheme have been advised against misappropriation of the scheme's funds. Mr Daniel Ohene Nti-Karikari, Board Chairman of the Scheme, gave the advice at a day's workshop for Chairmen and premium collectors of the scheme at New Edubiase. The workshop was to evaluate and assess impact of the scheme within the district since its implementation about two months ago.
Mr Nti-Karikari told the collectors that the success and failure of the scheme depended on them since they dealt directly with the people at the grassroots. He warned that anyone found to have misappropriated funds from the scheme would be prosecuted. Mr Richard Sarkodie, Adansi South District Scheme Manager, said about 80 patients had so far benefited from the scheme since its implementation. He advised those who had not yet registered to do so in order to benefit from the scheme.
