Nkoranza As Bono East Regional Capital
21.01.2019 LISTEN

All that we are saying is that Nkoranza as Bono East capital has the shortest existing access roads and links to all district capitals in the Brong East Region.

Siting the capital in Nkoranza means no one will cross any other district to reach Nkoranza as Bono East capital . Only people in kajeji i and Yeji shall have shortest route to Atebubu then to Nkoranza.

Proximity of the regional capital to the towns in other districts should be the first creteria in choosing the regional capital and other factors fellow. If the the capital goes to Atebubu Amantin, people in Techiman south, north, Kintampo south and north, pru west Abasi will have to pass through Nkoranza before travelling longer distances to Atebubu. Likewise if it goes to Techiman, that might be worsen, kajeji , Yeji , Atebubu, Kwame Danso, Jema and Kintampo Districts will have to travel to Nkoranza towns , then will have another 30 miles long distance to reach Techiman town which is outskirt of the Bono East Map.

Techiman is also closer in distance to Sunyani regional capital. If the capital goes to Atebubu, the people in Techiman will prefer to access Government institutions at Sunyani rather than Atebubu, and more so if it goes Techiman then people in Atebubu Amantin Yeji and kajeji will be at disadvantage because of added distance.

Nkoranza is the central point of covergence and proven shortest existing road links to most of capital towns in Bono East Region that's Techiman--Nkz Road link, Tuobodom through Baafi or Maaso kraka short Road link, Jema, Kintampo, through Jema Nkwata Nkoranza short Road link. Pru Abase through Nkoranza Bonte bomire short link. And Atebubu Amantin through Nkoranza Dromakese Fakwasi short Road link. . [ Refer to Bono East map major Roads and possible route from Nkz to other district capitals]

1. The shortest bypass road linking Asante region to mampong,Kintampo and Tamale is through Nkoranza.

2. Traditionally, Nkoranza PARAMOUNCY has authority over the stool lands from Nkoranza south, north, Kintampo south and north upto Yapae volta River.

Apart from this we have all the structures and infrastructures to host and support start of new Bono East Region. Commercial Banks, Rural banks and saving and loan credit facilities are all over the paramoncy. Villages in the paramoncy are many and more are in developing stages and spread across.

Major Tourism attractions at Nkoranza stool lands are Kintampo waterfalls, Buabeng-Fiema monkeys sanctuary, Dandwa waterfall, Catholic prayer sanctuary Jerusalem and so more.

Anglican University, Kintampo Health Research Center, Kintampo college of Health and University, University of Education Winneba distance learning Centre. Advanced Technical secondary school with magnificent infrastructures comparable to university standard. 7 Advance senior secondary schools and more.

Nkoranza market, Kintampo market and Jema, Busunya and more.

Major hospital - st'theresa' hospital, Kintampo hospital, Jema hospital are all located in Nkoranza stool lands.

We have two municipal and district assemblies respectively with combine population which greater than any dististrict or paramoncy in Bono East Region.

Abundance minerals deposit "Gold" discovered in Nkoranza south and north, cray and rocks for making cement, tiles and paint.

Right now GNPC has started exploration of black Gold [cruel oil] feasibility studies at Nkoranza. Appraisal of exploration will be made public shortly.

Nkoranza and its stool land areas have large vast of land for Agriculture, irrigation and Mechanise farming, cash crops and staple food crops such mangoes, chew nut, maize, groundnut, yaw and cassava are in abundance and have export potentials, feasible for siting Agro factories too. It is undeniable fact 2018 Ghana national best Farmer comes from Nkoranza.

Preparation sited for region offices, institutional infrastructure, airport, military barracks, prison and police region quarter and many more are already been selected and secured.

My people in Bono East Region, it's better we've more than one developed cites in the region than siting the capital to a town who claim it has already developed and choked with

Little or no land for expansion. Refer to the Bono East Map attached.

Let remind ourselves that We voted yes for Development and proximity of the regional capital to the sorounding district capitals.

My write up does not proclaimed that only Nkoranza should be considered, others can present their facts for consideration and any town that will be selected, we will all join in hands to build and develop our new region. Thanks.
