Failed Nocturnal Secret Attempt to Harm a Lawyer Involved in the Kumawu Chieftaincy Dispute

Failed Nocturnal Secret Attempt to Harm a Lawyer Involved in the Kumawu Chieftaincy Dispute
20.01.2019 LISTEN

When the Lord is on your side, whom shall you fear? When the Lord is on your side, no weapons fashioned against you shall prosper! It has come to my attention that on the night of Wednesday, 16 January 2019, some supposedly Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) operatives, visited the residence of the only lawyer in the Kumasi Metropolis who has accepted to handle the court cases for the Kumawu Ananangya and Odumase royal families. Do I say he is the only lawyer worth his salt and a man of mettle within the Kumasi Metropolis to come forward to defend the family against the chieftaincy abuses they are subjected to by the Asante “Overlord” and his cohorts including Kumawuhemaa and the alleged Kumawuhene Barima Sarfo Tweneboa Kodua?

While every lawyer in Kumasi declined to represent the mentioned family in their chieftaincy wrangling with Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Kumawuhene Barima Sarfo Tweneboa Kodua, the Registrars of the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs and the National House of Chiefs, Kumasi, an only then septuagenarian but now octogenarian, stood tall to be counted. He gleefully willingly accepted to represent this poor but innocent family, to present their case in court. When all other lawyers had abandoned them for the fear of the Asante Overlord, this lone voice reverberated in the courtrooms of Ashanti region, shaking the foundations of the bullies, sending cold chill down their spine and filling their skins with goose bumps.

On the said night or wee hours of Wednesday, 16 January 2019, some people could be heard banging on the gate to his house or flat. As the banging got louder and noisier, his wife without opening the gate and doors shouted asking who the unknown uninvited night visitors or would-be assailants were. They responded by saying they were BNI personnel come to see the lawyer (name withheld). The wife told them he was not in but had travelled to Accra. They said it was not true and kept banging on the gate. They only left when most of the house neighbours started shouting and opening their doors enquiring to know who the unexpected nocturnal (night) visitors were?

When the lawyer phoned the BNI headquarters in Accra on Thursday, 17 January 2019, upon becoming aware of the situation, the BNI office denied any knowledge of dispatching their personnel to his house. The BNI are still investigating and the case has been reported to the police. However, who could have decided to visit him at night and for what reason? Did they have any good reasons for paying him the unannounced visit in the late night or very early hours of the stated day and date? I am very suspicious about the unknown visitors’ intentions. They were up to something fishy, if my opinion was sought on their mission to the lawyer’s residence. Luckily, he was not present at home at the time of their likely malicious mission impossible.

As the Kumawu chieftaincy case is about to take a different positive dimension, with God manifesting his powers according to my beliefs and known trusted prophetic revelations, some dubious characters may be resorting to questionable means intended to thwart God’s plans hence what we saw happen on Wednesday, 16 January 2019, as hereby reported.

I shall recommend to the lawyer to secure police protection while investigations are ongoing to unmask the criminals who visited his house under the guise of BNI operatives. If they were genuine BNI personnel, they would visit him during the day or invite him to their office. But to call at his house in the middle of the night or at such early hours of the day, banging on the gate and shouting to be BNI personnel, is not only suspicious but bodes an ill omen for him.

Therefore, I request all those seeking justice and peace for Kumawuman and her subjects to pray not only for the lawyer and his family but also, all those spearheading the liberation fight to set the people of Kumawuman free from injustices, intimidations and utter thievery under the hands of the Asante Overlord and his accomplices.

As surely as the battle is the Lord’s, whom shall I fear? I pray the police will expedite their investigations into the night visit by those alleged BNI personnel to the house of the lawyer. They should not leave any stone unturned to finding those involved and behind that doubtful visit. God willing, the perpetrators will be found and dealt with.

I call on any Ghanaian who knows about those questionable night visitors to volunteer information to the police in their investigations to finding the would-be culprits.
