Are you the good news !

The false prophets always come with bad news. They are the wolves in sheep clothing, spreading the false gospel. Jesus said they will come in his name, but they do not speak his words and therefore are not of him. Yet because many don't bother to read the bible, and some are illiterate so don't know better, because our NGO's and politicians are too busy robbing citizens money, for better educational development. These prophets use peoples lack of knowledge to help them perish.

In their spirituality, because instead of loving God and ones neighbour, these prophets teach them to love the things of the world ( material things) and idols ( the false prophets). They worship them more than God. The prophets themselves are filthy white washed tombs, who do not love their neighbours, how can one love their neighbour and wish them death instead of redemption. The counsellor Lutterodt the self appointed counsellor, has the audacity to go around insulting others and pull unsubstantiated statements out of his rude backside. Is it love for him to tell Yvonne Nelson her child is a bastard because she had her out of wedlock ? Is it love for so many prophets in Ghana to have been jubilant over Ebony Reigns death because to them she is a sinner ?

Yet God is the God of sinners , as receivers of the good news Christ came to die for our sins. We should extend the same gift to others. Christians are suppose to be loving, bear the fruits of the spirit "love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." How many Christians can say they have these fruits, how many can say they are not judgemental and love their neighbour. Love "is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs." Yet we live in a country were people are proud that they don't wear short skirts or are ashawo like some people, that they are not sinners like so and so. Some feel they are deserving of Gods love because they do the right thing " though no man is good" and all are saved by grace. They have the courage to condemn some to hell because to them they are not people, just sinners.

We are suppose to be good samaritans. Christ like. Christ sat with the sinners, prostitutes, poor and tax collectors. He loved them and humanised them. Do we do the same ? Do we help the poor in need without looking for anything in return? Can we have mercy on the prostitutes who litter our streets due to economic inequality. Can we bother to be like Christ and seek the kingdom of God, or are we too busy purchasing anointing oil, husbands and property ?

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son so that whosoever believed in him shall not perish but have everlasting life." That's the gospel; that's the good news. Jesus came to save you and me, plus the people you feel are unholy. We are suppose to lay down our lives and pick up his cross. So in us, people see the good news. Instead of seeing Pharisees, accusers of the brethren condemning people to hell. As well as making them stay far away from God, because in our view not God's, they are not worthy. Yet, if we behave like that in Gods eyes we are not worthy of the crown of life. Don't let Angel Obinim and his cohorts deceive you.

Be careful when judging, for with the same measure you will be judge. No man is good, Abraham lied, David murdered, Paul murdered, Peter cut of an ear and Jacob stole, yet God had mercy on them. Have mercy on yourself, you are human bound to sin and in need of mercy, so extend Gods love to other humans. Just as you would like that love for your imperfect self.
