Kete-Krachi Endorses Oti Region With A Mammoth Floating

After series of petitions for the creation of Oti Region, embraced with fierce opposition from known detractors, it appears there is some hope in sight.

At long last there is light at the end of the tunnel. The referendum to create Oti Region will be held on 27th December 2018.

It is in this direction that the Paramount Chief of the Krachi Traditional Council and Chairman of the (JCC) Joint Consultative Committee for Oti Region, Krachiwura Nana Mprah Besemuna III, together with the Kete-Krachi youths, poured on the principal streets of Kete-krachi for a mammoth floating to endorse the new Oti regoin.

The people couldn't hide their love and joy for Oti Region,as they chant,sing and dance in anticipation towards the referendum.

Afterwards a mega rally was held at the forecourt of the Krachiwura palace at krachi krom,where he addressed the people,by showing his appreciation with the level of participation for the Oti region,which is devoid of political nor tribal sentiments but a catalyst for development,he also stated that "the referendum is like a penalty kick with an empty pole,ours is to shoot the ball to score",which he is very certain of a 100% victory.

Moreover,the DOC chairman also took turns to bring to light some startling revelations of developmental disparities between the Volta south with land mass of 41% and north of 59% landmass, which is as follows,

Tarred roads:Oti enclave 105km,Volta south 480km.

EDUCATION
*Colleges of Education:Oti enclave 2 as against 7 in the south.

*Nursing and Midwifery training College:1 in the oti enclave,to 15 in the south.

*Government senior high schools:17 in the oti enclave,to 79 in the south.

*University of Health and Allied Sciences(UHAS)Campuses:0 in the oti enclave to 3 in the south.

HEALTH
*Government clinics:0 in the oti enclave and 39 in the south.

*Government Poly clinics:0 in the Oti enclave and 2 in the south.

*District Hospitals:4 in the oti enclave and 7 in the south.

*Regional hospital:0 in the oti enclave and 2 in the south.

*Number of public doctors:7 in the oti enclave and 107 in the south.

*Doctors to population ratio:1:105,000 in the oti enclave and 1:16,000 in the south.

SECURITY
*District Courts:2 in the oti enclave and 18 in the south.

*Circuit Courts:1 in the Oti enclave and 7 in the south.

*High Courts:0 in the Oti enclave and 2 in the south

*Police training school:0 in the Oti enclave and 1 in the south.

*Divisional police command:1 in the Oti enclave and 5 in the south.

*District Police command:4 in the Oti enclave and 25 in the south.
