Desist From Unnecessary Politicking During Class Hours - Teachers Told

Teachers have been cautioned to desist from unnecessary politicking during class hours, but rather concentrate on their class room work and the upbringing of the school children.

Mr Ignatius Akwasi Amankwah, district chief executive for the Bodi district of the western Region, gave the caution when he visited selected basic schools in the district to welcome kindergarten and primary one pupils to the 2018/19 academic year.

He said teachers must act as role models for the pupils to emulate and not to exhibit habits that would have a bad influence on them.

The District Chief Executive appealed to the pupils to respect their Teachers and pay attention in class in order for them to achieve their dreams in future.

He also interacted with the Teachers to know at first hand their challenges and how his office could assist them solve some of them.

In a related development, Mr Amankwah paid an unannounced visit to the Sefwi Bodi Senior High School, to officially welcome the butch of the First year students of the Double Track System to campus and also give them some words of encouragement.

The DCE advised them to make good use of the opportunity given them by the Nana Addo led government by studying very hard to become leaders of the next generation.

"Ladies and Gentlemen take advantage of the opportunity given you today to achieve your future dreams, because at this stage, you should know how to go about your dealings on campus so that you can achieve why you are here, "he advised
