2015 National Best Farmer Unfazed By Uncomplimentary Comments

Mr Baffour Ibrahim Musa, popularly known as 'Macho', and the 2015 National Best Farmer on Tuesday said he was not deterred by uncomplimentary statements some residents make anytime he undertakes philanthropic activities.

"Sometimes some call my wife and ask her if I have no family relations whom I can use my resources to support", he stated.

Mr Ibrahim Musa who was speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Dormaa Ahenkro said after personally rehabilitating a number of projects in Dormaa Ahenkro including; a water closet, providing water tank at the Dormaa Central Municipal Police Headquarters at an amount of GH¢ 7,000.00 some people questioned why he supported such projects with his hard earned income.

"I believe if you understand the act of worshipping God and serving humanity some of these things must not be difficult for you to do.

"Me I don't get sick neither do my wife or any of my children. By the grace of God we are always healthy and safe. Aside this I have other children who live with me at home, I look after", he indicated.

He explained that he did not have any other streams of income apart from his poultry business he solely relied on and was driven to offer assistance where he deemed fit.

"I have to spend an amount of GH¢ 3,000.00 to level up the road leading to Kosane and putting up a room for a very popular herbalist who resides there and receives many patients from different areas with various complications to seek treatment.

"Often when I do this my thinking and motivation is that, one day, either me or any member of my family could find him or herself in that bad condition and that fellow must not be made to go through such painful conditions".

In 2015, Mr Ibrahim Musa single-handedly roofed the entire Circuit Court building in Dormaa Ahenkro after the building had been battered in a rainstorm ripping the roofs apart.
