The Seventh Day Adventist Senior High School (SEDASS), Agona Swedru on Sunday 4th March, 2018 celebrated their 15th Anniversary in a grand style on the theme “15 years of diversified education; inspiring a generation of change makers” . The event happened on the school’s ceremonial grounds with Pastor Chris Annan Nunoo, Executive Secretary of the Southern Ghana Conference Union of the Seventh Day Adventist Church chairing the program.

Prof. William Koomson, Acting Pro Vice Chancellor of the Valley View University who was the special guest speaker urge continuing and old students to create the right mindset with the holistic education received from the humble institution since change begins with the mind. John Arma, CEO of Orios Group, an old student who was the guest of honour urged students to take inspiration from old students who are making a meaningful impact in the society and believe in themselves.

On the part of the headmaster, he made special mention of some old students like John Armah, Akosua Asantewaa Aduonum, Ebenezer Essuman, Francis Tei for their efforts in creating change in various communities. According to him, the school can boast of people in the clergy, entrepreneurship, sports, politics, security services and many other positions in the society.

Other notable speakers for the occasion were Pastor Richard Asiedu Ntriakwah- founding father of the school and president of the Pioneer Ghana Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, The chief of Jukwa, District Chief Executive officer, old students association president.

Some staff members and students were awarded with various academic awards with Master Isaac Donkoh Kojo winning the overall best student in the year in review.

The event was prelude with bonfire and fireworks amidst with brass band on the eve of the Grand durbar with the massive turnout from old students of the school. Other activities were cadet parade, poetry and drama performance by students.
