The Church Should Stand For Nothing But The Truth

The President of the Word of Christ Church International, Prophet Philip Baka, has called for the church to stand for the truth, decent conduct and social justice.

These, he indicated, were values that needed to be cherished, defended and protected.

He was delivering the sermon at a service held in Kumasi to induct Pastor Abraham Osman Baka as an Apostle of the Church.

He underlined the need to boldly speak up against anything evil and toxic to the health of society.

Prophet Baka said the church had a responsibility to assist everybody to conduct themselves well, to bring about peace and harmony.

He condemned the unbridled lust for money and material wealth and said this was fueling corruption and impoverishing majority of the population.

He rallied Christians to lead from the front the anti-corruption fight by making sure that they mirrored Christ-like qualities of integrity and modesty.

The expectation was that they would become a positive influence on others in their communities, he added.

He admonished the newly elevated pastor to work with zeal and passion to help people to be confident about the future and to bring salvation to many.

Prophet Baka added that he also assisted in the effective administration of the church - work with the leadership to grow the church.

He should be transparent and accountable in everything he did to get the congregation behind him.
