Nicky Writes: The Untold Story About Our Incoming Chairman, Mr Emmanuel Kwesi Mantey

Our victory in 2016 did not roll on the wheels of inevitability. It came through a continuous struggle and commitment by our hardworking executives and the Adentan NPP's main financier, Mr Emmanuel Kwesi Mantey to bring it forth.

KNOW YOUR INCOMING CHAIRMAN?
In the days of old when the struggle was tough for the NPP in Ghana and Adentan in particular, Mr. Emmanuel Kwesi Mantey was with us. Mr Emmanuel Kwesi Mantey is a revered Patron of the NPP in the Adentan Constituency.

1. 1996 -1998 -- Positive Change Initiator
As a committed member of the elephant fraternity since foundation, Mr Emmanuel Kwesi Mantey, together with Hon. Isaac Osei, the CEO of TOR, managed to secure us the Prisons' Park in Koforidua where the then Candidate Kufuor declared our 'positive change' slogan in 1998 which won us election 2000. This feat was chalked by him at a time the NDC government had imposed the culture of silence on us and denied us access to the Koforidua Jackson Park. According to researchers, the Positive Change slogan contributed immensely to our victory in 2000 and I am proud to mention today that Mr. Emmanuel Kwesi Mantey was the main initiator.

2. 2000 to 2016 - NPP Bankroller
Mr Emmanuel Kwesi Mantey has over the years from 2000 to date contributed a lot of logistics to the course of the NPP in Ghana particularly the Adentan constituency. The Communications Director at the Presidency, Mr Asenso Boakye, our current Constituency Chairman, Mr Acolatse, with his concerned executives, Hon. YB, and all those who were deeply involved in our struggle for victory 2016 can attest to this selfless service.

3. Aftermath of 2012 election petition -- Mr Emmanuel Kwesi Mantey was the one who gave his home out to Friends Of Nana Addo (FONA) where Nana Addo was declared their choice of flagbearer for election 2016 after the election petition ruling in August 2013.

4. Bankroller, Adentan Youth Wing
Single handedly, Mr Emmanuel Kwesi Mantey sponsored all the refreshments of the youth wing whenever we embarked on party activities. In fact, Pub and Grill which he owns at Lakeside was the converging point whenever we embarked on our outreach programs such as keep fit. We were served food and drinks free of charge. He has been an inspiration to the youth of Adentan NPP as he motivates us to give our all for the success of the NPP. Baba Tauffic can attest to his sponsorship of the youth wing.

5. Sponsor of Refreshments At General Meetings
Mr Emmanuel Kwesi Mantey single handedly sponsored all the refreshments whenever we went for general meetings either at the party office or at Light Academy. The current constituency executives can bear witness to this.

6. Fund Raiser For Nana Addo and YB For 2016 Campaign

Mr Emmanuel Kwesi Mantey mobilized funds from his friends and business partners to finance our campaign in 2016 and the general elections. If the party had funds to run on, all thanks must go to him.

7. Nana Addo Agent Mr Emmanuel Kwesi Mantey was Nana Addo's main Polling Agent together with Hon. YB during the Presidential Primaries in the Adentan Constituency for election 2016.
