The Chiefs and People of Breman Nkuntanase have launched their 2017 Home-coming festival to generate funds towards the constructing of an Ultra-Modern Community Centre.

The Centre will house an Information Communication Technology Laboratory, a recreation centre, a library and a conference hall.

The festival themed: Promoting a good moral standard in the youth: The Role of Stakeholders', will commence from November 26th to December 4, 2017.

Among activities to be held are; a health walk, Installation of the Omankrdo and Tufuhene, a Children's durbar to show case their talents, forum to remember their ancestors, and entering of a reserve forest by the Asafo group to hunt for an Odaboo (dear) to be use for customary rights for peace and prosperity in the coming year.

There would also be a float to Breman Asikuma and back, a durbar, and a non-denomination church service on Sunday to climax the festival. The last day of the festival which is Monday 4th December, the Odikro will sit at his palace to receive homage.

Nana Kweku Odum Essilfie III Odikro of the town and also Benkumhene of Breman Traditional Area said the youth were the future assets of the country and should be supported to unearth and properly develop their capabilities to be able to contribute fairly towards nation development.

He said the main objectives for the construction of the community center were family gatherings, the aged to meet there to socialize and to share their experiences and the youth to go there and learn.

The Odikro appealed to the people and well-wishers of the town to participate in all activities earmarked for the festival and also donate generously to enable the community achieve its objectives of having a legacy for the youth.

He reminded the people and all who will join in the celebrations, to comport themselves and ensure that they did not consume too much alcohol.

He also urged them to refrain from all negative activities that could mar the beauty of the festival.

He also called on celebrants of the festival, especially the youth to protect themselves against sexually transmitted diseases especially the HIV/AIDs which up to date had no cure.

Later, libation was poured to symbolize the launch of the festival.
