The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) in collaboration with the Ministry of Works and Housing will roll out 2,543 units of houses in Borteyman and Asokore-Mampong in the very near future.

This comes at the heels of a recent statement from the Minister of Works and Housing, Hon. Samuel Atta-Akyea seeking collaboration towards addressing the acute housing deficit in the country.

The project with executive support, when completed, would be let through a credible mortgage arrangement, DAILY GUIDE has learnt – with active involvement of financial institutions.

The arrangement which would meet the needs of workers was brokered at Pension House, Accra under the auspices of SSNIT Board Chairman, Dr. Kwame Addo-Kufuor.

Present during the activity were Hon. Samuel Atta-Akyea, Works and Housing Minister, Hon. Eugene Antwi, Deputy Minister, Works and Housing, Hon Freda Prempeh, Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, Solomon Asoalla, Chief Director, Ministry of Works and Housing and Dr. John Ofori-Tenkorang, Director-General, SSNIT.
