A Letter To Christian: Whiles Waiting

Just some few days ago, I went in search of water due to water shortage in the area where I domicile- if you are a bachelor you will understand what I am saying. Whiles I was holding gallons to fetch water, I saw one of my friends’ way-back from secondary school: Joseph Ireland. What was he doing? He was holding a bible- to preach to the people living in my area, a jotter- to take the names of people living in my area and then a pen- to take note of their names. So the message hit me: WHILES WAITING.

The truth is whiles waiting for the rapture to come and pick you and your family because you are done living holy, death is already picking people uninformed and yet you are seated, anointed and appointed and doing absolutely nothing. Whiles we are waiting to get a job before we serve God with our giftedness, people are preaching and singing on the street. Whiles waiting for a man to come and deliver you from singleness, folks are praying for souls to be delivered from hell. Whiles waiting for a two- bed room- self contain before building a committed prayer life, people are praying on the park yet homeless. Whiles waiting for a pulpit to preach to souls you didn’t win, people are preaching in busses and preaching to bushes to build capacity. Whiles waiting to go to the bible school to study your bible, people have studied it cover to cover in their rooms. Folks, whiles waiting, people are wasting their destinies aware.

Are we not concerned about young men holding cigarettes, weeds and bottles of alcohol on funeral grounds and wasting away their youthfulness? Was funeral grounds hitherto not a place of deliberation? Then what happened? Whiles waiting. Are we not concerned about the unmarried sisters in our families who have become a victim to false prophet? What happened to your prayer life? Can’t we pray for them to be delivered from singleness? Then what happened? Whiles waiting. Are we not moved when ambulances pass by us when we are driving? Have we have ever parked to deliberate the eternal destinations of those victims? Then why didn’t we minister to them when they were alive? Whiles waiting. People are porting from Christianity to other religions and we are here fighting over pulpits. Anyway whiles waiting for a pulpit someone has just been arrested a culprit.

Where are the St Patricks of our time? Who prayed for hours until all the snakes in Ireland left the city. Where are the Daniels of our time? Who prayed until lions became death, numb and dumb. Where are the three Hebrews boys of our time? Who prayed until the fiery furnace became an air- condition. Where are the father Nash of my generation? Who prayed until their knees were like the knees of a camel and even after their death it was inscribed and encrypted on their tombs “Praying Nash”. Where the Franklin Hall of our time? Who fasted until their intestine were not located anymore and they kept living.

One of my saddest quotation in the bible is “having the power of godliness, yet denying the power thereof”. It will not be our portion- We will rise and serve God to save humanity through the sacrifice of fasting, prayer and purity.

THE FIRE OF REVIVAL WILL CONSUME YOU THIS YEAR AND IT WILL LAST FOREVER….In Jesus’ name!!!
