Why Ask For Mills Autopsy Report When You Werent In Talking Terms—Brother
26.07.2017 LISTEN

Brother of the late President John Atta Mills, is questioning the locus of persons clamoring for the autopsy report of the former president when they were actually not in talking terms with him while he was alive.

“These people asking for the autopsy report were not even in talking terms with the former President while he was alive. What do they now need his autopsy report this time for”, he asked on Accra-based Okay Fm.

According to Samuel Atta Mills, who is also MP for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem (KEEA) his nephew who claims he does not know what actually killed his father, knows who to ask for his father’s autopsy report and not in the media.

“At the time his father passed on, five years ago, how old was he? I was there and it has never been a topic for discussion. If he wants to speak about it, we would be glad to tell him,” the late President’s brother said.

There have been consistent demands from some individuals and groupings for the autopsy report of the late President to be made public in order to put to rest speculations that he did not die a natural death at Castle Osu five years ago.

The family is currently divided over the issue with threats by another brother of the former President to exhume his remains at the Asomdwe Park for reburial at his hometown.

Prof Mills is the first sitting leader in the history of the country to die in office.

He died on July 24, 2012, three days to his 68th birthday.

Details on the cause of his death remain a closely guarded secret, but there were suggestions he died from hemorrhagic stroke complications.
