Nii Tetteh Otu cuts the sod, as officials of Chase Petroleum look on with excitement

Management of Chase Petroleum Ghana Limited on Wednesday cut the sod for the construction of a district magistrate court and library for the chiefs and people of Kpone, near Tema.

The projects, which are expected to be completed at the end of this year, are meant to improve the adjudication of cases in the area.

According to the Paramount Chief of Kpone, Nii Tetteh Otu II, who officially cut the sod, the community had suffered a lot due to the lack of a district magistrate court in the community.

He said the library project would also help improve academic performance of the people.

Speaking to BUSINESS GUIDE, Nii Tetteh Otu II indicated that the people in the community were compelled to travel to Sege and Tema to access court services.

The chief, who expressed gratitude to Chase Petroleum Ghana Limited for the projects, called on other companies to emulate the shining example of Chase Petroleum by supporting the community through corporate social responsibility.

Daniel Amoah, Executive Director of Chase Petroleum, in a remark, said Chase Petroleum places premium on education to achieve holistic development of the community and the nation.

District Chief Executive (DCE), Solomon Appiah, also gave assurance that the facilities would be properly maintained to attract more donors.
