Accra, May 1, GNA - The President of Groupe Ideal, Dr Nii Kotei Dzani, has been named the overall best entrepreneur for his excellent contributions towards the country's socio economic development at the Entrepreneur Foundation of Ghana Awards.

He was touted as one successful entrepreneur who demonstrates vision, business excellence and innovation and, therefore, deserves to be honoured.

Speaking on the award, Dr Nii Kotei Dzani said: 'Success indeed comes with hard work. It has not been an easy journey in my career as an entrepreneur. The story is endless and surely will be told one day to inspire many.

'It was never a smooth experience, however, with hard work, determination, perseverance and by the grace of God I am where I am today.''

Dr Dzani used the occasion to advise the youth to build their careers through hard work to be able to survive in the entrepreneurial world.

The Ghana Entrepreneurship and Corporate Executive (GECE) Awards is an initiative of Entrepreneur Foundation of Ghana in collaboration with Entrepreneurship Association of Ghana and Ministries of Trade and Industry and Finance.

The GECE Awards 2017 is a premier competition for emerging entrepreneurs, corporate executives established business owners, innovative and creative entrepreneurs who own and operate businesses and are given recognition for their achievement in business development.

The theme for this year's event: 'Promoting Economic Growth through Private Sector Development and Corporate Governance,' was chosen to enhance business relationship between entrepreneurs and business executives and also to promote government's private sector development initiative.

The award winners include Mr Gobind Wadhwani, Managing Director of Kanem Industries Limited, who won the Lifetime Entrepreneur Achievement, Mr Richard Dugan, Groupe President of Mcottley Holdings, won the Energy for Young Entrepreneurs, Mr Godwin Gyamfi, won the Entrepreneur of the Year for Real Estate Development, and Mrs Abigail Asolange Harlley, the Chief Executive Officer AI Energy Group, was adjudged the best Woman Entrepreneur.

Dr Dzani is an Entrepreneur and Businessman par excellence with extensive business experience as an Economist and Business Owner with a proven record of successful entrepreneurship.

He brings on board considerable years of experience in managing micro and small and medium enterprises financing operations in Ghana.

Dr Dzani holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Cape Coast and an Honorary Doctorate from Oral Roberts University, Oklahoma, USA.

He also holds an MBA in Corporate Governance & Finance from the University of Hull, United Kingdom and currently undertaking a Professional Law Degree.

The companies that form this spectrum include Ideal Finance, First Trust Savings and Loans, Ideal Capital Partners, Ideal Asset Solutions, Ideal Trade, TV Africa, Ideal Pension Trust, Ideal Insurance Brokers, Taste Foundation, and Westfield Offshore Consult.

Groupe Ideal currently operates in the areas of Investment Banking, Business Finance, Trade, Asset Management, Mining and Offshore Consultancy Services, Media and Security services
