Lawyer Mrs. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi Wishes WASSCE Candidates Well

23.03.2017 LISTEN

I wish to take this opportunity to send my very warm wishes to all candidates of this year's West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) which starts tomorrow at all centres across the country.

I am very much aware that you have worked tirelessly, burnt the midnight oil, denied yourself your personal comfort and exhausted many hours in preparing for this all important day. My fervent prayer is that the good Lord grants you all your heart desires and crown all your efforts with the success that you have so much toiled for.

As you enter the examinations hall be bold, eliminate every form of fear from you and be resolute in faith that you will come out with distinction to make us all proud.

My word of caution to you as a mother is that you should eschew all forms of complacency as you write the papers. Also do not be tempted to engage in any form of examination malpractice whatsoever as the consequences may be simply unimaginable

Let me also use this opportunity to salute all our hardworking teachers who have sacrificed their very best in preparing you for this day and all your parents/guardians who have supported you through it all.

At this point I wish to state emphatically that the NPP government is committed to ensuring a better future for each and every one of you and that is why we still stand solidly by our promise of giving each Ghanaian child Free Senior High School education.

Once again I salute you all, it is my fervent prayer that all the sacrifices of your parents/guardians and your teachers as well as your personal hard work pays off with resounding success.

May God richly bless us all.
Signed
*Hon. Lawyer Mrs. Barbara Oteng Gyasi*
