Accra, March 8, GNA - Thousands of school children from first and second institutions in the Greater Accra and other regions on Monday thronged the on-going Industry and Technology Exhibition at the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre to climax the celebration of Ghana's 48th Independnce Anniversary.

Clad in uniforms, even though the day is a holiday, the pupils and students started arriving at the centre as early as 1100 hours amidst drumming and singing in various school buses. Some, especially those from the second cycle institutions immediately after arriving visited the Information Communication Technology (ICT) Village at Pavilion 'A'.

Fascinated by the wide range of technological facilities displayed around, the students took to interact with the ICT experts and asked questions to their satisfaction. Some accessed their e-mails and visited search engines for information.

Meanwhile, outside the Pavilions others were seen enjoying themselves as they dance to variety of music being played around. Emmanuel Mensah, a pupils said : I am so happy I came and will love to come to the fair anytime it opens."

Theodora Turkson, a second cycle student said "there are a lot of things but the prices are too high, most the things I see I cannot buy them."
