Accra, Sept. 1, GNA - Nana Appiagyei Dankawoso, the President of the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI), and 24 other personalities have been honoured for their immense contribution to the growth and economic advancement of the nation.

The West Africa Nobles Forum (WANF) honoured this group of eminent West Africans for their financial and moral integrity and their high sense of honesty, accountability and humility that have helped to propel national growth.

They were awarded with Certificates of Honour and Plaques.

Dr Dee Otibu Asare, the Director of WANF, said the Forum, founded in 2003 with a handful of members, could now boast of about 2,000 members across the West African sub-region.

He commended the members for leading lives worthy of emulation and expressed optimism that the award would go a long way to inspire the young generation to strive for excellence.

Dr Asare congratulated the awardees for upholding the virtues of honesty, integrity, sincerity and moral excellence in both their public and private lives, adding that the younger generation would look up to them with hope and confidence.

He said WANF would continue to identify and recognise men and women of integrity around the sub-region to serve as role models for the youth and instill ethical behaviour them.

Mr Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, one of the awardees and the New Patriotic Party's parliamentary candidate for Tema West, expressed appreciation to the Forum for the honour done them and pledged their unflinching support to ensure the achievement of the set goals.

The awards ceremony coincided with the inauguration of the Nobles Club 100 whose core mandate 'is to bring members together through business meetings, networking, conferences and personal interaction on social media such as facebook, twitter and whatsapp.'

Members of the Nobles Club 100 were decorated with the club's medallion, lapel pins, and Hall of Integrity gowns.
