Youth misuse fire emergency line

Nkoranza (B/A), Jan. 6 (Credit Adu Simon) GNA - The Nkoranza District Office of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has condemned whet it termed "the obnoxious practice by some youth in the area to misuse its emergency telephone line."

Mr. Francis Nyarko, Fire Station Officer at Nkoranza told the Ghana News Agency on Thursday that the station had been receiving calls from Nkoranza on the emergency line '192' with reports of supposed fire outbreaks, but which always turned out to be false alarms.

He announced that the district office had set up a task force to check and arrest perpetrators and warned that those caught would be prosecuted.
