International Energy Insurance (IEI) has rebranded to Heritage Energy Insurance (HEI) as part of its efforts to re-strategize to gain more market share.

According to the insurance firm, its new identity, aside making it more relevant to the needs of its customers in the 21st century, would also reassure stakeholders of management's commitment in raising the standards of the company to a higher level.

Uche Ukugo, Managing Director of the Insurance Company, said the rebranding is to give the company a new identity and position it to offer innovative packages to satisfy customers.

He said the company's resolve to rebrand has strategically positioned it for a brighter future, given the enthusiasm of the new investors who wanted to be part of the brand.

Mr Ukugo told the media that the insurance market in Ghana is low but indicated that they have a programme to create awareness among the populace to accept insurance as an essential part of life.

In his keynote address, the CEO of Heritage Bank Nigeria, Ifie Sekibo, reiterated that innovations, focus and a well defined plan are needed to keep businesses afloat in these challenging times across the world.

He pointed out that threats to businesses which are often perceived as trivialities and ignored should be vigorously dealt with tactfully and boldly to avoid business failure and collapse.

Chairman of the board, who was represented by Joshua Amfo-Sackey, said change is dynamic so there was the need to bring innovation to the company to make it relevant.

He indicated that they would have to focus to remain effective, efficient and competitive in the current business atmosphere.
