University don urges Ghanaians to build a prosperous nation

Winneba, Dec 18, GNA - Professor Jophus Anamuah Mensah, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education Winneba, has said after coming from a recent successful election Ghanaians should demonstrate to the world their resolution to build a peaceful and prosperous country.

"We owe each other a duty of love, to ensure pace and unity in our country for accelerated development.''

Prof Anamuah Mensah said this on Friday in Christmas message he read at the 3rd Annual Festival of Nine Lesson and Carols organized by the Department of Music Education of the University held at the Amu Theatre of the Central Campus of the UEW.

He said ''that this is the time for those who do not know Jesus to receive him as their Saviour and for those of us who know him to renew our commitment and stay connected or in tune with Jesus".
