By GNA

Bosuso (E/R) Oct. 22, GNA - The Member of Parliament (MP) for Fanteakwa, Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has called on all National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters to abide by the Public Order Act to ensure a peaceful election.

He said if all supporters of the various political parties, adhered to the advice to desist from insults and be calm in all electioneering campaigns, there would be a violence-free election.

Mr Ofosu Ampofo was addressing the people of Bosuso on Thursday when he presented two computers to the Bosuso Community Library valued at 10 million cedis bought with the MP's Share of the District Assemblies' Common Fund (DACF).

He pledged to sponsor two of the library assistants for a three-month computer course to be able to impart the knowledge to the people in the communities and all other places he had presented computers.

The Chief of Bosuso, Barimah Owusu Amankwah, who received the computers on behalf of the people, thanked the MP for the kind gesture and pledged to ensure that they were used for the right purpose.

He said such noble gestures to promote the well being of people of a community, showed that people, who had been mandated to represent their people were committed and living up to expectation. Barimah Owuwu Amankwah urged the teachers to encourage the children to cultivate the habit of reading to improve upon their knowledge of the English language.

Mr Ofosu-Ampofo later in the company of the Chief inspected some school projects in the District being funded with his share of the DACF and the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund).
