A graduate pastor of the Volta Bible College in Ho, Evangelist Emmanuel Amanfu, has attributed the ineffectiveness of present day preachers to prevailing economic conditions in the country.
According to him, because the ministry was voluntary, living becomes difficult as some members in many congregations in the Volta Region were poor and therefore unable to support the preachers. 'I want to appeal to the brethren to take a second look at this situation and give the necessary help to support those poor preachers,” he appealed. Evangelist Amanfu observed that some preachers back-slide not only due to economic constraints but also due to unfairness in established matrimonial homes and therefore called on the wives of preachers to correct the situation for their own good.
