Accra , March 05, GNA - Airtel Ghana has signed a memorandum of understanding with Sahel Sahara Bank to explore the development of innovative financial services focused on serving employees and Airtel's   stakeholders.

The agreement is said to bring about convenience, accessibility and speed in the creation and provision of business solutions, ensure the growth of the clientele base and as a result improve revenue streams and provide comfort and opportunities for employees of each party.

Mr Adama Diop, Managing Director of Sahel Sahara Bank, said the agreement would enhance the business collaboration among the two companies, create a mutually beneficial cooperation between them and would combine the distribution capabilities of Airtel and the pan-African bank.

He said the bank would provide financial support in the form of credit lines, overdraft facilities, letter of credit and other projects and working capital needs.

Mrs Lucy Quist, Managing Director Airtel Ghana, thanked Sahel Sahara Bank for the partnering Airtel and that the agreement would allow for pre-financing arrangement support for the acquisition of mobile phones, tablets, and other electronic devices to staff and clients of both Airtel Ghana, Sahel Sahara Bank and the public.

She said this would provide comfortable and convenient banking solutions to the employees of Airtel Ghana by providing service in Airtel Ghana offices.

'Employees of Airtel shall have access to retail services of Sahel Sahara Bank such as Current and Investment account needs, personal loans, auto loans and salary and rent advances,' she said.
