Mystery disappearance of farmer: parts of body found in bush

Ofoase (Ash) June 5, GNA- The mystery surrounding the disappearance of a 60-year-old farmer of Ofoase in Asante Akim District who did not return home from his farm on August 23, last year, has been broken with discovery of some parts of the body at an area far away from his farm. The bones, and farm cloths that Opanyin Kwaku Kwarkye wore were found in the bush on April 25, this year by some surveyors, prospecting for minerals.

Mr De Graft Forkuoh, Assemblyman for Ofoase who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency said the two assemblymen in the town were informed about the disappearance and organised a search party for several days but none could provide any clue to it. Konongo Divisional Police confirmed that it has taken over the case from the Ofoase police for investigations. 5 June 04
