Two die in accident on Winneba/Cape Coast road

Bewadze (C/R), April 10, GNA- Two persons on Saturday died on the spot and four others seriously injured when a Taxi and Hyundai passenger bus collided at Bewadze on the Cape-Coast Winneba road.

The victims are yet to be identified.

Nicholas Gazu, Winneba District Police Commander who disclosed this to the GNA said the Hyundai bus was coming from Cape Coast while the Taxi was heading towards Mankessim.

He said on reaching Bewadze, the Hyundai Bus attempted to overtake vehicles ahead of it and veered into the lane of the Taxi, resulting in the collision and death of two persons in the Taxi, including the driver. Mr Gazu said the injured are on admission at the Winneba Government Hospital while the two bodies have been deposited at the mortuary. The Police are still investigating, Mr Gazu said.
