Wa, March 20, GNA - Alhaji Ahmed Ramadan, National Treasurer of the People's National Convention (PNC) has stated that the party would this year intensify electioneering campaigns at the grassroots levels to be able to win both Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

To achieve that, he therefore, announced that the party was adopting "the concept of cell-ward and constituency organisation in politics". "In that way we need to strengthen the party at the cell levels to the ward and constituency levels and to the national levels". Alhaji Ramadan announced this in a capacity building workshop for its members at the Wa East and Central constituencies of the Upper West Region.

He called for collaboration and involvement of opinion leaders in the party to enable them rise up in the constituencies they did not perform well in the previous elections.

"The PNC has a good vision for the country and we can only harness that vision if we vote massively for the party in December," he added Hajia Ajara Ali, National Women Organiser of the party tasked all PNC executives and sympathisers to encourage more people who are qualified to register and vote in the forthcoming general elections. "We have the responsibility of educating other people to take up their responsibilities and rights to ensure that they are at par with us,"

The workshop attracted 20 participants from the Wa East and Central constituencies.
