Inspector Adu Kyeremeh, prosecuting, said both Edah and Mr Briandt Hlorlewu, the complainant, reside at Community 13, Lashibi, Tema.
Inspector Adu Kyeremeh told the court that on June 8 the complainant gave GHC 12, 000 to Edah as part payment for a half plot of land at Community 13 valued at GHc 16, 500 but Edah could not provide documents covering the land.
He said on June 20 the complainant had a call from his brother that the four-bedroom house he had built on the land was being pulled down by some people using a bulldozer and Edah could not give any tangible reason for the demolition when contracted by the complainant.
The complainant made a report to the police and Edah was arrested.
