SIC Life Company Limited (SIC Life) has donated two sets of executive armchairs worth GH¢25,000.00 to the Ghana Prison Service.
This is to assist in the refurbishment of the Superior Prisons Officers Mess at Cantonments, Accra.
The Director-General of Prisons, Madam Mathilda Baffour-Awuah, commended SIC Life for the gesture and expressed the appreciation of the service to SIC Life for readily assisting the service to fulfil their obligations to the public.
She said it was important, considering the nature of their work, to get a nice place to socialise while discussing pertinent issues.
The Managing Director of SIC Life, Mr Aaron Issa Anafure, expressed the hope that the company would continue to assist the service.
He congratulated the officials for their sacrifices and their ability to cope with the difficulties associated with their work.
He gave the assurance that the company would in the future assist the Prisons Service to train inmates in various vocations.
